Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Amanda attended DePauw University, where she studied Art History and was a member of the Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP). After working as a web administrator as a year-long internship, she moved to Illinois to obtain her Masters of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education at East Carolina University, with an emphasis on higher educational leadership.
Amanda worked in academic libraries in Virginia for eight years before moving to North Carolina in 2016. She is the Assistant Director for Discovery and Technology Services at Joyner Library. Amanda teaches Introduction to Technology for Library and Information Science online for the University of Illinois’s Graduate School of Information Science.
Amanda is married, is a member of the Greenville Noon Rotary Club, and is the furmom of a dog and four cats.
